The aim of Taiwan-Japan Symposium on Polyscale Technologies for Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Sciences (PT-BMES) is to create starting points of collaborations between Taiwanese and Japanese researchers on various fields of science and engineering for biomedical and environmental technologies. Through this symposium, it is hoped that Taiwanese and Japanese researchers could co-develop new technologies to solve biomedical and environmental problems, which should be some of the most important issues in both Taiwan and Japan societies. Furthermore, the establishment of the future collaborative works in advanced biomedical and environmental technologies will be keystones of the development of the whole Asia. In this symposium, half of the speakers will be invited from Japan and the other half from Taiwan. This symposium will be co-organized by Department of Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Sciences, National Tsing Hua University and Polyscale Technology Research Center, Tokyo University of Science and held on September 9 (Thursday) and 10 (Friday), 2010 on the campus of the National Tsing Hua University at Hsinchu, Taiwan.
